Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the cast wrapped up filming "Deadpool" a few months ago; and the lead star gave a shout out to all of his fans for their support.

Many people thanked the 38-year-old actor for making the movie happen, but he claims that it was because of them that the film pushed through.

"There's been a lot of talk about how I was instrumental in getting it made, which isn't true at all," he told Total Film via Games Radar.

"I wouldn't say I spent every single day emailing the studio heads at Fox saying, 'You've got to make this movie.'"

"The fans are the ones that saw that leaked test footage - which really was never meant for anyone besides in-house studio people. That's really what got it made," the Hollywood hunk revealed. "But what I'm most proud of is we got to make the movie in the way it should have been made, which is rated R at a very modest budget."

Before the "Deadpool" trailer came out, a video clip circulated online but it didn't reveal who played the anti-hero. Despite the full red and black costume, many people know that it was Ryan Reynolds who was behind the suit.

During the early part of production, Blake Lively's husband has been hoping to get a PG-13 rating but he may have realized later on that it could mean cutting some scenes.

Entertainment Weekly asked the actor if they will have an R-rated cut version of "Deadpool." "The debate rages on. We'll see," he said.

Ryan Reynolds also revealed the superpower of Wade Wilson's alter ego and it isn't superhuman healing factor just like Wolverine.

"I mean, Deadpool's greatest superpower is annoying the shit out of people," he told Total Film. "So I imagine that he would spark a heavy wave of ire from any one of those groups."

In fact those can be seen in the leaked footage and trailer of "Deadpool" so it isn't surprising that the movie got an R rating because of the violence and explicit language. Witness Ryan Reynolds annoy his enemies on Feb 12, 2016.
