Jennifer Lawrence has played the fierce, strong leader of a revolution, Katniss Everdeen in the "Hunger Games" trilogy but the Oscar-nominated actress banners a different revolution in real life and wrote a powerful essay about it on Lena Dunham's website, getting the thumbs up from lots of feminist personalities such as Emma Watson.

On Tuesday, the Oscar-nominated actress released a feminist essay online published in Lena Dunham's newsletter, "Lenny Letter," addressing the pay gap between male and female actors in Hollywood although not dismissing the fact that her pay is a bit different from the average woman's wage.

According to Jennifer Lawrence, she discovered that she was being paid less than her male counterparts in movies after hundreds of emails of Sony Pictures were hacked and leaked online.

"I failed as a negotiator because I gave up early. I didn't want to keep fighting over millions of dollars that frankly, due to two franchises, I don't need. (I told you it wasn't relatable, don't hate me)," Lawrence wrote.

Lawrence goes on to question society's views on what is deemed acceptable behavior for women.

"Are we socially conditioned to behave this way?" Lawrence wrote. "We've only been able to vote for what, 90 years? Could there still be a lingering habit of trying to express our opinions in a certain way that doesn't 'offend' or 'scare' men?"

"All I hear and see all day are men speaking their opinions," she added. "And I give mine in the same exact manner, and you would have thought I had said something offensive. I'm over trying to find the "adorable" way to state my opinion and still be likable! Fuck that."

On Oct. 14, "Harry Potter" star and UN "HeForShe" campaign spokesperson, Emma Watson expressed her support for Jennifer Lawrence.

"Jennifer Lawrence I love you so," Watson wrote on Twitter.

Emma Watson also quoted Jennifer Lawrence's essay in a separate Tweet. "I'm over trying to find the 'adorable' way to state my opinion," Watson wrote.

Emma Watson is currently working on "HeForShe" campaign, a solidarity movement for gender equality.
