Steven Gerrard's book is like a box of chocolate - "You'll never know what you're gonna get."

The Liverpool legend is already away from Anfield and is now playing for Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy. Gerrard is one of the most decorated star of Liverpool.

However, his legacy is clouded by a failed championship chase. He is especially criticized for his part in failed 2013 season where they were just one win away from lifting the cup.

One of the main causes of it was his slip in their supposed EPL-clinching game vs Chelsea. He slipped halfway the field, turning over the ball to Demba Ba who scored at will.

Not much were discuss about that infamous slip from Liverpool's camp but in Steven Gerrard's book, his latest one, the English legend finally revealed what went on inside the locker room. His book is called "My Story" and contains detailed account of that the moment which he claims made him cry.

"I had been straining the whole half to make something happen, so had Luis (Suarez). Chelsea just kept blunting us. And then I'd slipped. The dressing room was hushed," an excerpt from the book said.

Although the emotions inside the room was gloomy, Stevie G. said it was manager Brendan Rodgers who tried to motivate them and get back in the game. They failed obviously.

Look, "Brendan said, imploring the other players, "if anyone deserves to be bailed out it's him." His finger pointed at me. "Your captain needs you to all pay him back. The amount of times he's pulled this club out of a mess and changed impossible situations and got players out of trouble are the stuff of legend. Undefined

Now it's time you repay him. You've got forty-five minutes to do it." Brendan looked at me. "Stevie, forget it," he said. "It happens. Let's all go out and win this game. We can do it.

Steven Gerrard book also contains his account of his experience while playing with Luis Suarez who is part of their magical 2013-2014 English Premier League run, what he feels about the Hillsborough tragedy, his career almost getting cut short and the referee he hates the most.
