Following the cliffhanger ending on Tom Hiddleston's character in "Thor: The Dark World," fans are now wondering what will happen to Loki in "Thor 3."

While nothing has been officially announced about the future of his character, Kpopstarz reported that Hiddleston will appear only as cameo in "Ragnarok."

Even the 34-year-old English actor has no knowledge of what Marvel has install for him.

In an interview with Coming Soon, Tom Hiddleston admitted that he's not certain if he will still be able to portray the role of Loki again.

"I don't know," Tom Hiddleston told Coming Soon.

"I think I won't be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don't know when that's gonna happen, if that's gonna happen. I would never lose his dimension, but it's so interesting. I've talked with Chris Hemsworth, how those characters have changed as we've changed. It's five years ago since I played him for the first time. That's a long time ago. So who knows what I'll be cooking up."

He is not even sure if the fans would still want Loki to return in "Thor: Ragnarok."

"I never quite know whether people want to see him again or whether people want to move on," Hiddleston explained.

"I can't really take the temperature on it. It's so difficult, because if it did happen again, I would try not to repeat myself. I would try to do something new."

Meanwhile, Cinema Blend pointed out that fans should not expect Tom Hiddleston to have a big role in "Thor 3."

"I honestly don't think fans should prepare to see Loki return to central villain form in Thor: Ragnarok," the publication explained. "Instead, he'll probably be back in a strong supporting position while the role of "Big Bad" gets handed off to none other than Josh Brolin's Thanos."

While Hiddleston's fate remains to be a mystery, "Thor 3" is reportedly going to set the stage for "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2."

Reportedly, Thanos' desire to capture all of the Infinity gems will lead to Asgard's doom, causing Thor to be locked up in a "galactic prison."

That's when The Avengers will reportedly get into the picture.

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" release date is set on July 28, 2017.
