Is this possible, will Guns N Roses finally release a new album with the original 1987 line up on board?

Consequence Of Sound reported that Australian promoter James Young may have teased the comeback of the American hard rock band for the Soundwave Music Festival next year.

"I heard the most amazing rumor this week, from a very well-informed heavy hitter in the Australian music industry," Young said. "So what mega band could it be? I heard on Wednesday night that it would be Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Slash and Axl Rose - the reformation of the original 1987 Appetite For Destruction Guns N' Roses!"

While DJ Ashba and Bumblefoot both left the group this year, Richard Fortus is confident that fans should be expecting big things for the band next year.

Apparently, Axl Rose and Slash have reconciled already, making it possible for the band to work on a new album.

"It was probably way overdue, you know," Slash said regarding things being clear between him and Rose in anotherConsequence Of Sound report. "But it's.... you know, it's very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative... dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."

Meanwhile, Slash remains silent about the possibility of a tour and new album for Guns N Roses.

"Oh, I couldn't answer that one, though...," he added.

Meanwhile, Slash is reportedly busy with his solo album in addition to the rumored Guns N Roses one.

Loud Wire reported that the 50-year-old guitarist revealed he is working on new songs for his solo record.

"I live for live performing, but I can't perform live if I don't record," Slash said of his new album. "The stuff for the next record is really great. One of the cool things about this band is that instead of peaking early and burning out is we've started at one place and escalated in terms of our creative inspiration."

Adding, "It keeps getting better from record to record which is a really nice thing to have happen so yeah, we just seem to get more in a groove the longer we stay together and the harder we work on the road and so on. It just seems to come out in the new material."
