Barcelona Better Off Without Injured Lionel Messi? Player Thinks Star's Absence Doesn't Matter

Basically, Lionel Messi injured the entire Barcelona team after getting injured himself last month in a La Liga match versus Las Palmas.

Having been a key figure in Camp Nou since 2005, his fans think Barca got paralyzed with the Argentine now out of the picture.

An Eibar striker thinks it is exactly the opposite. Lionel Messi injury does not affect the team at all.

"I am always in favour of playing against the stronger players, but at the end of the day Barcelona have a great team with many players that make a difference," Eibar striker Borjan Baston said as per report by Goal.com.

"If Messi is not there then there will probably be somebody else who will stand out. But yes, it is true that without Messi there are more possibilities to get something good out of it."

Baston is talking about other expensive players in the team who blossomed from the Argentine star's absence.

"I am always in favour of playing against the stronger players, but at the end of the day Barcelona have a great team with many players that make a difference," he said.

Baston's comments comes days after they lost to Barca, 1-3, last week. And he might have a point.

Lionel Messi got injured in September 26 and since the day he was out, Neymar and Suarez have been playing great. Neymar scored four times in their 5-2 win vs Rayo Vallecano and provided two assists in their 2-0 win against BATE in Champions League.

Just recently, Suarez scored a hat-trick. These two guys' performances make it hard for fans to feel that they are missing Lionel Messi.

According to reports, Lionel Messi will be out for seven to eight weeks. This means he could miss El Clasico against Real Madrid on November 23. Does fans have something to be worried about with Lionel Messi injured?
