Fans were thrown in a loop when Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards suddenly ended their relationship last August.
Things got even more heated when the formerly engaged couple started throwing some serious shade at each other.
A couple of months later, it looks like things aren't as settled as they seemed.
Little Mix, the group which Edwards belongs to, has a new song out from their highly anticipated new album and she confirmed that it's about her bad boy ex.
According to an interview with Total Access, their new track, "Hair" is about a man who caused a breakup because of his bad boy ways. It was speculated to also be about Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards' failed relationship.
Fans also noted that the song contained a bad word aimed at the said ex.
"You know sometimes when you break up with someone they are [the bad word] so it's alright to say in a song..." Jade Thirlwall said about their use of the British slang word for d-head.
Edwards herself confirmed who exactly the guy in the song was, basically admitting that it was indeed about her former fiancé.
"Yeah, it is. He was just a bellend and I knew it," she said.
Although she may seem like a bitter ex with the new song, Edwards is reportedly enjoying her newfound freedom. She reportedly turned to her groupmates and friends to mend her broken heart.
International Business Times even reported that she's already dipping her toes in the dating world. The UK Mirror said that she started seeing reality star Joey Essex after meeting him at the Pride of Britain Awards.
However, Edwards' representative denied the rumor to IB Times.
"It's not true, Perrie and Joey are not dating," the rep said.
