Oct 31, 2015 10:49 PM EDT | By Sherylyn Toda

The long wait will soon be finally over as Avalanche Studio announces that the development of "Just Cause 3" is 100 percent completed.

In line with this, the release date is reportedly all set in December.

"Just Cause 3 is..... GOLD today!!" Chief creative officer at Avalanche Studios Christofer Sundberg said on his Twitter account. "Awesome work to our team taking this creation of ours and have evolved it with excellence!"

According to game director Roland Lesterlin, "Just Cause 3" in an interview with IGN, the open world game will feature the largest map the series has to offer.

"I think we still have one of the biggest maps ever," said Lesterlin.

And as the release date draws near, "Just Cause 3" is also reportedly confirmed to support different mods.

Without revealing too much information about the game, director Lesterin said in a report by Games.On.Net  that the studio is greatly appreciative of the modding community.

"We've talked with modders before, a lot of members of the team started as modders, hacking into games and ripping them apart," he said of modding.

"It would be weird to me to finally be in a position to make huge, awesome games like this and then turn around and stop the next kids who are going to be doing that with this game, who will probably wind up as designers, programmers, producers in games. That first moment you tweak a game is the first moment you realize you have the power to do what's in your imagination. So while I don't have any specific information, we're definitely going to make sure the modding community has the tools they need."

Meanwhile, Chief Creative Officer of Avalance Studios, Christofer Sundberg talked about what to expect in the game when release date comes.

"We've been waiting for this moment ever since Just Cause 2 was released, said Sundberg.

"This is the culmination of a decade's worth of open-world evolution and innovation. In JUST CAUSE 3, we've sent Rico to a beautiful Mediterranean archipelago. He is of course bringing his Grapple and Parachute, both with game-changing upgrades, as well as the brand new Wingsuit. JUST CAUSE 3 truly represents the next generation of chaotic sandbox fun, and we can't wait to show you more next year."

And in addition to the great gameplay of "Just Cause 3," Avalanche Studios has something install for fans.

It's no secret that the modding community helped boost the game's popularity back in "Just Cause 2," and while the developer did not provide any support on the said game, this time it will be different, Games.On.Net reported.

While he did not provide much details about it director Roland Lesterlin claimed that Avalanche Studios is very much appreciative of the modding community, thus it's most likely that they will finally support different mods in "Just Cause 3" come its release date.

Under the development of Avalanched Studios "Just Cause 3" will be published by Square Enix and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.

"Just Cause 3" release date is set on Dec. 1, 2015.
