Alcohol With Your Coffee? Starbucks Menu In Dallas And Forth Worth To Have Beer And Wine

Nov 06, 2015 08:41 PM EST | By Pam Amantiad

While avid patrons are looking forward to the holiday-themed flavors in their favorite cafes, costumers in Dallas and Forth Worth, TX will be enjoying more than pumpkin spice-flavored drinks.

According to WFAA 8 ABC, three stores will be adding alcohol to the Starbucks menu.

Shops at Sundance Square in Fort Worth, Park Lane in Dallas, as well as another one at Inwood and Lemmon started selling alcohol to their patrons earlier this week.

Reports said that the said locations will be selling selected craft beers as well as red and white wine. Unfortunately, the additional items on the Starbucks menu will not be available for the entire day.

People can start ordering their favorite craft beer, wine or certain food items a little later in the afternoon.

The said additions are reportedly part of the new "Evenings menu" which was launched in 2010. According to NBC, it includes food selections such as "truffle mac and cheese," "chicken, sausage and mushroom flatbread" and "bacon-wrapped dates with balsamic glaze."

The Park Lane menu reportedly starts taking orders for their Starbucks Evenings menu at 2 p.m. while the Sundance Square branch begins a little later at 4 p.m.

"Seventy percent of Starbucks customers drink wine, as compared to 30 percent of the general population," a news release from the popular chain said. "Providing another reason for these customers to visit Starbucks during the evening hours was natural for Starbucks - giving them a place to start and end their day."

"Just as each customer is unique, so are our stores and we consider a broad range of products and experiences for each neighborhood," NBC also quoted Starbucks officials as saying about Starbucks Evenings.

"At this time, we're in the early stages of considering 11 stores in the city of Dallas, six stores in the city of Fort Worth and two stores in Flower Mound for the Evenings menu."
