Consumers who ordered a Nokia Lumia 1520 will now receive it by Dec. 2, CNET reported Friday.
"Because of overwhelming demand, your Nokia Lumia 1520 order is delayed in shipping," the company said in an e-mail Windows Phone Central reported. "As soon as your shipping label is printed, we'll send you an e-mail with the tracking information. You can also track your order on our site."
"As a result of the stronger-than-expected demand of the yellow version of the Nokia Lumia 1520 and the delays in receiving that color from the manufacturer, we now expect consumers to receive their orders on or before November 27," told CNET. "We apologize for the inconvenience and are doing everything we can to ship orders as fast as possible."
AT&T unveiled the new smartphone Nov. 8, indicating the devices would be sent out Nov. 19, and reach their destination Nov. 21. The Nokia Lumia 1520 came to AT&T Friday at a $100 cost with a two-year contract.
"We are aware that a limited number of our customers are experiencing delays in receiving shipment of Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phones that were purchased on the Microsoft Online Store," a Microsoft spokesperson also told CNET. "Our priority is to ensure that every customer who ordered a new Lumia 1520 gets it as quickly as possible. Customers will be notified via e-mail as soon as their order has shipped. We are providing a $25 gift card for future use in the Microsoft Store for all customers who are impacted. The Lumia 2520 screen measures 10.1 inches with ClearBlack technology. This enables users to read text when in direct sunlight. The smartphone's 6.7 megapixel rear-facing camera ZEISS optic camera takes good, clear, and colorful photos.
The device also has a battery with 11 hours of power, a keyboard equipped with five extra hours of battery life, a touch pad, and two USB inserts.
