Customers are flocking to Denny's in Canada and taking advantage of the MyDenny's a Business Wire press release reported Tuesday.
The news comes after 10,000 people uploaded the program to their smartphone, or vice versa to their computer.
"We are so excited to hit this milestone," Bobby Naicker, president of Dencan Restaurants said in a statement. "Day-part targeting, geo targeting, and cluster targeting are all functionalities of the technology that we see increasing both frequency and customer satisfaction. On the next development of this marketing platform, we will introduce mobile wallet payment technology which will come to market in 2014."Those with desktop computers can access the app at www.mydennys.ca. The site has a section where people can sign up on the right side of the page.
New enrollments have kept coming in each week indicating people are involving friends and family on the app. Friends can also request other friend's converse with them at a Denny's restaurant.
Customers can obtain the My Denny's mobile app via Google Play of Apple's iTunes store. Individuals get points for all items they buy, so they can exchange them for other products such as food, and beverages at all Denny's restaurants.
"Denny's has always been an inclusive restaurant, and when it comes to technology, the same principle is employed," Chandni Chaube, marketing manager for Denny's Canada said in a statement. "The desktop version was created to ensure that smartphone and non-smartphone users alike are able to participate in the MyDenny's loyalty program." The app has received lots of praise since it was made public in July.
Denny's has 51 restaurants throughout Canada, the majority of which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The company is head quartered in Vancouver, and supervised by Northland Properties Corporation.
Northland oversees Sandman Hotels Inn and Suites, Moxie's Classic Grill, Shark Club Bar and Grill and the Northland Asset Management Company.
