Manny Pacquiao Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr Rematch A Priority By Filipino Boxer

Nov 09, 2015 08:10 PM EST | By Rolly Gacelo

One more time for "Fight of the Century"? Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather rematch has a chance of happening as the Filipino fighter revealed it is the undefeated American boxer who he is targeting for his last fight.

"It's possible -- very much," he told CNN World Sport at a charity event in Abu Dhabi where he was present for a basketball match. "I would love to have a rematch if he wants it."

For the public, a Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather rematch is doubtful since the latter has already retired. However, Pacman thinks it is not a hindrance.

"Of course we hear from him many times that he has retired. It's not new for him," Pacquiao said of Floyd Jr's retirement.

Pacman and Pretty Boy first squared off last May 2 of this year wherein Floyd won via unanimous decision. He then fought again on September 12 versus Andre Berto. He dominated the match to level the 49-0 record of Rocky Marciano. After that, he abruptly retired.

Manny Pacquiao said his next fight, which is already set on April 9 next year, will be his last. Lots of names pop up but the one making the loudest noise is his former sparring mate Amir Khan who previously claimed he already signed a deal and the papers were sent to Pacman's promoter Bob Arum.

Arun was quick to refute Khan's claim saying no papers were signed as of this time and what Khan said were lies.

"Top Rank has sent a contract to neither [Khan nor Crawford]. Top Rank will send a contract to one of them when Manny makes his decision on who he wants to fight," Arum told ESPN.

"Right now, what we are doing is trying to decide between Crawford and Khan for April 9. I don't know what Khan said he signed. Don't I have the right to draw up a contract with either guy? I don't know who Manny wants to fight."
