Is it possible that despite the death of Paul Walker, his character, Brian O'Connor would return in the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8?"

Well that has been the buzz lately.

According to IB Times, speculations about Paul Walker's return in the eighth installment of the franchise when Jordana Brewster, who played Brian O'Connor's wife Mia Toretto reportedly hinted her return.

"While fans saw this as a closure to the actor's character and end of his saga in the 'Fast and Furious' franchise, Jordana Brewster's rumoured comeback has churned out speculations about Brian O'Connor possible return in 'Fast & Furious 8,'" the publication wrote.

Meanwhile, Christian Post noted that Paul Walker's Brian O'Connor will appear in "Fast and Furious 8" through flashbacks, which could once again be made possible by his younger brother, Cody Walker.

Elsewhere, "Fast and Furious 8" is reportedly going to be the beginning of a new trilogy to end the long-running car-chase franchise, VC Post reported.

With the release date slated in 2017, Michelle Rodriguez claimed that the upcoming movie will return to its roots as requested by Paul Walker.

Talking to People during UNITAS Gala Against Sex Trafficking in New York City, Paul Walker's "Fast and Furious" co-star explained how "Fast and Furious 8" will serve as a tribute to the late actor.

"[Paul] wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing," Rodriguez revealed. "He was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens."

The 37-year-old actress added that the movie will lessen the "exaggerated explosions and crazy plot lines," as it tries to remain "true to Paul's wishes."

Furthermore, she explained what Vin Diesel previously stated when he said that "Fast and Furious 8" will be "true to car audience."

"I think that's what Vin [Diesel] meant when [he said] his main focus on the next one will be trying to keep it true to that car audience," she said. "Hopefully we'll be able to do that cause it's gotten bigger than ever and you know we also have to stay true to that so it'll be a challenge."

"Fast and Furious 8" release date is set on April 14, 2017.
