Allow Ellen Degeneres to refresh your favorite childhood (or teen or adulthood) memories as she embarks on a brand new journey as Dory on Disney Pixar's upcoming animated film, "Finding Dory," the sequel of "Finding Nemo."

Ellen Degeneres returns as Dory in the sequel of the beloved animated film, "Finding Nemo" which premiered worldwide in 2003.

Dory is the lovable and forgetful blue tang famous for her lines "just keep swimming, just keep swimming" who provides comic relief as she and Marlin fight sharks and jellyfish to find Nemo.

According to reports, Ellen Degeneres returns as Dory alongside Hayden Rolence (Nemo) and Albert Brooks (Marlin), this time, to find Dory's family.

According to reports, the movie picks up about 6 months after Dory and Marlin saves Nemo and his fishtank friends and will take place in the Marine Biology Institute of California.

"I wanted to know that if this charming, forgetful fish ever got lost again, that she would be OK, that she would find her way home," Director Andrew Stanton said of the upcoming film. "And at the end of Finding Nemo, I wasn't confident about that. So that's when I knew I had another story."

"I've been waiting for ten years to show you this," Degeneres wrote on her Facebook Page where she launched the first trailer of "Finding Dory" on Thursday, Nov. 10.

"I'm so excited and I'm so proud of this film," Degeneres previously said at the D23 Expon in August.

While further details about the main storyline are yet to be revealed, some reports claim that Dory was initially supposed to end up at Sea World in the said upcoming film.

However, after controversies surrounding the said marine park shown in the documentary by Gabriela Coperthwaite entitled, "Blackfish," changes were made in the script.

Instead, Dory's journey will lead her to the Marine Biology Institute of California.

New characters in "Finding Dory" will include Bailey (voiced by Ty Burrell), a beluga whale; Jenny (Diane Keaton), Dory's mother; Charlie (Eugene Levy), Dory's father and other unnamed characters to be voiced by Idris Elba and Dominic West.

"Finding Dory" will swim to cinema screens on June 17, 2016.
