The battle between ex-spouses Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) continues to heat up as they try to get the top spot for the best music label in the industry.
They will try to win their younger son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) as Lucious challenged him to battle it out with the new up-and-coming artist Freda Gatz (Bre-Z).
"If Freda wins, you can have Hakeem back!" Cookie challenged Lucious.
Contrary to season 1, Cookie and Hakeem are now working together as they build their own music label, while Lucious is with Jamal(Jussie Smollett) at the Empire.
While Cookie is very busy with Lyon Dynasty, a romance between her and Laz (Adam Rodriguez), an alleged club promoter who is suspected of being Lucious' spy to take over the label.
