With the release date all set, "Assassin's Creed" movie adaptation is actively gearing up.

Starring Michael Fassbender, Head of Content Azaïzia Aymar has revealed new details about what to expect in the upcoming film.

According to Blastr  Aymar tweeted about Michael Fassbende's character and other information about "Assassin's Creed."

In addition to playing the lead role of Callum Lynch, the "X-Men" star is reportedly going to play the role of Aguilar as well.

"And Aguilar will be his ancestor in the past," Aymar tweeted.

However, the movie will not feature Altair, Ezio or Connor, but Aymar promised that, "It's possible you may find some familiar faces."

Aymar added that "we share the same universe. Elements of the film have consequences, as in our games, comics, and books."

Aymar continued by promising viewers that the movie will not overwhelm them.

"Trying not to overwhelm fans or newcomers w/ tons of references. The focus was on crafting an elegant story!"

"We may have surprises for you!" He concluded.

Overwhelming fans with a huge chunk of information was also Fassbender's concern. , Fassbender further explain how a big movie production could be a hindrance in producing such an extensive game like "Assassin's Creed."

"That's always the challenge of something that's so dense, to really find something and pare it down and basically, there are so many elements to it, so trying to translate that to an audience, you have to pick key things," the actor explained to Movie Pilot. "So yes, that is part of it, getting through the density of it and paring down and engaging a simple story."

And in a seperate interview with Game Spot he discussed why it took so long for the "Assassin's Creed" movie to develop.

"You say it's a long time, but what I've found - it's all new to me, but starting to develop scripts and work on them, they take time," Fassbender explained.

The 38-year-old German actor is now busy with shooting the movie, which started in September.

"It just takes time to get a good story together and we really want to do it right. It's exciting. It's going to start this year, we'll be filming in September."

"Assassin's Creed" movie release date is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.
