Harrison Ford Finally Speaks About Disney's 'Indiana Jones 5' Movie! Not Ready To Retire His Role?

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has already confirmed that Disney is going to push forward with "Indiana Jones 5."

"When it will happen, I'm not quite sure," Kennedy told Vanity Fair of the planned project. "We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."

And for the first times since rumors and speculations of a fifth "Indiana Jones" arrived, Harrison Ford, who played the iconic character has finally spoken.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly for the cover of the movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," the veteran actor gamely discussed his thoughts of returning to "Indiana Jones 5."

"Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'd love to do another Indiana Jones," he exclaimed as he sat at a round picnic table by the hangar. "A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director - what's not to like?"

It seems like rumors of replacing him with a younger actor is not going to happen, at least if you ask Harrison Ford.

However, Disney is reportedly eyeing on "Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt to play the new Indy, following his impressive performance in "Guadians of the Galaxy" movie.

Cinema Blend reported that Pratt is the frontrunner to Disney's planned "Indiana Jones 5."

While Pratt has been playing coy about his involvement, Steven Spielberg has already expressed his interest in directing the movie.

According to Deadline the award winning director/producer is willing to get his hands on the project "assuming a script comes in to his satisfaction."

Meanwhile, the publication noted that while Pratt is certainly not Harrison Ford, he certainly has the "ability to tackle strong, heroic roles with humor and relatable humanity" makes him as likable, therefore perfect for the role.

According to a source of Showbizspy "Disney is looking at its long-term options for the 'Indiana Jones' franchise. "They feel that the series has huge potential on many levels, starting with the films leading to other spin-offs like games which can generate more money than movies."

With the future of "Indiana Jones 5" looking clearer, would Disney opt to sticking with Harrison Ford, or would they finally moved on with a younger actor?
