Sleep Numbers Smartbed detects how a person sleeps, and allows conversation USA Today reported Tuesday.

"It's an ever so slight articulation and it at least temporarily relieves your spouse's snoring," Annie Bloomquist, chief product officer at Sleep Number told USA Today. "While this bed is a first of its kind with really unique consumer benefits, everybody deserves to know better sleep. In the coming months we will be introducing these technologies across our entire Sleep Number line."

Sleep Number unveiled the $8,000 furniture at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Monday USA today reported.

The bed's universal remote helps with snoring by allowing another user to alter the equipment to re-locate the noisy person USA Today reported.

"It actually raises the head," Bloomquist told USA Today.

Installed Sleep IQ technology records a person's sleeping habits, and suggests what settings consumers should use to position the mattress to an effective position USA Today reported.

The bed also traces a person's heart rate, breathing rate, and how long the user stays on the bed, and shifts around USA Today reported. The beds app also determines what a person does prior to catching zzz's such as physical activity, and caffeine intake USA Today reported.

Users can also tell the bed what to do via basic voice options like operating the snoring mechanism USA Today reported.

The bed also gives massages, and shines light underneath it if someone needs to go under it USA Today reported.

The International Consumer Electronics Show goes on until Friday according to the show's website.

Over 3,200 manufacturers, developers, and companies who provide equipment for consumer technologies, content, and technologies that send data appear at the show the CEA said on their website.

At least 152,000 people attend the show's 300 meetings the CEA's website reported. One hundred and fifty countries are represented the website said.
