It's still months before we officially bid goodbye to Disney XD's most watched animated series, "Gravity Falls;" and while its finale has no specific date yet (except that it's "sometime in January to March 2016"), fans are already getting hints on what they can expect in the series and season finale dubbed as "Weirdmageddon III."

Movie Pilot, in its report, said that as we witness the finale, we might also be saying good bye to one of the members of the Pines family. "Gravity Falls" creator Alex Hirsch earlier had already revealed on Twitter that a major character would die in Season 2.

Furthermore, the code shown at the end of Season 2, Episode 18 dubbed as "Weirdmageddon Part I" may have concretized that a character will see its end and even revealed that it could be one of the Pines.

The code in question reads: "GAME IS OVER, AND I WON / NOW IT'S TIME TO START THE FUN / I ALWAYS LOVE CORRUPTING LIVES / NOW LET'S SEE WHICH PINES SURVIVES"

As to which member of the Pines family would die, Movie Pilot does not see the end for Dipper or Mabel, saying that it's unlikely to kill off the protagonists. And with "Gravity Falls" being a children show, it may be too dark to kill the twins.

That leaves Grunkle Stan, great uncle of Dipper and Mabel, or Stanford Pines, Grunkle Stan's long-lost twin brother.

Both Grunkle Stan and Stanford may fit perfectly as the Pines who would die in "Weirdmageddon III." First, Ford having only introduced in the latter part of Season 2 would make his death not too heartbreaking. Ford also knows the vital weakness of Bill Cipher and a possible battle with Bill in "Weirdmageddon III" may cost Ford's life.

Grunkle Stan, on the other hand, is "at the top of the list for People Who Are Probably Going To Die," according to Movie Pilot. It highlighted how fans have observed how every effigy of Stan has been destroyed by burning and speculated that Stan may end up the same. Grunkle Stan also once said in the series, "Kids, if I die make sure I get bigger tombstone than Ford's."
