It has been a while since Rachel Bilson was seen out in public in all her glorious makeup and outfit.
But it seems like the the 34-year-old first time mom is now ready to get to work after giving birth to her daughter Briar Rose with long time partner Hayden Christensen, in October.
In an interview with People Style Watch, the "Hart of Dixie" star shared her beauty routine as she tries to balance her life now that she has become a mom.
"Being a mom and having a kid, that's one of the most important things right now," Bilson said.
For the first time since October, the "OC" alum hit the red carpet for the No Kid Hungry Benefit Dinner in L.A.
"It's like learning how to talk again and walk again," she said about getting out in public again. "When people ask me questions it's like 'I don't know how to talk to you', so I'm being reintroduced to this world."
And while she's admits to being a hands on mom, it seems like Bilson is also really excited to get her glam back as she shares her daughter's reaction upon seeing her preparing for an event.
"It's fun to get ready and stuff and it's funny to see her watch me get ready at home," Bilson shared. "She's like, 'What are you doing to my mom? What is that? Makeup? What?'"
And while everything has been really challenging for her, the amount of support and appreciation given to her by Hayden Christensen is reportedly what keeps her going.
She even shared that she gets the best compliment when the "Star Wars" actor tells her "what a great mother I am."
While embracing motherhood has become some kind of obssession to Rachel Bilson, she is now ready to return to work.
"Rachel Bilson was back at work filming on Wednesday and made sure to bring along her breast pump to set," Daily Mail reported. "The 34-year-old actress shared a silly snap on Instagram as she got ready to shoot a new project and held up the plastic contraption for fans to see."
