A rescued harbor seal is in good protection at SeaWorld Orlando.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials brought the seal into safekeeping at SeaWorld where it will be checked out after noticing it by Lake Worth, Fla. Saturday ABC Action News in Florida reported Monday.

Beach visitors were fascinated by what seal.

"It was pretty cool, but pretty odd that there was a seal here in Florida because we don't get that," Josh Saxon told ABC Action News. "I've seen a lot of wildlife being a native, and it was pretty cool," Saxon told ABC Action News.

"(It's very) cool, very cool. It just seemed kind of docile, just kind of harmless and just tired," Lisa Castronova told ABC Action News in Florida.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration initially received word of the sickened seal Saturday Bay News 9 reported Tuesday. The two to three year old seal, which measures four and a half feet in length, was motionless, and below the 150 pound weight she should be at 76 pounds.

The seal received a full health exam, and was also given antibiotics Bay News 9 reported.

SeaWorld staff are now monitoring the seal 24 hours a day, which includes regular tube feedings, and liquid intake.

Anyone who comes across hurt sea life animals can contact the commission's hotline at 1-888-404-3922. The commission can also be reached when consumers type in FWC on their mobile phones and then make a regular call.

Another seal came to land in Florida in Feb. 2013 because it could not withstand the winter conditions in locations it was living in according to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary ABC Action News reported. This included cold weather.

Harbor seals tend to live off the coast of New England according to Bay News 9. They have even reached South Carolina.
