Two Parents Found Unresponsive From Heroin Overdose in McDonald's Play Yard Around Their Children

Two parents are currently in custody discovered unconscious from reportedly injecting too many doses of heroin Sunday, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported  Thursday.

Tamica Lynn Jeffers, and Robert Paul Palmer from Dillsboro, Ind are currently in Hamilton County Jail for child endangering charges after Green Township police and firefighters came across them in a McDonald's play area according to court documents The Enquirer reported.

Jeffers is in on $6,000 bond, and Palmer's $10,000 following a visit in front of a judge who told him to remain distant from the two children should he be released, and where he entered a not guilty plea The Enquirer reported.

Jeffers was transported to Mercy West Hospital for medical care, after officials found her breathless around the couple's eight and 5 year-old.

A grand jury is scheduled to receive the case March 24 for a potential indictment.

Sunday's incident is the third reported incident in the last few month's involving McDonald's locations.

Police found 10 bags containing heroin in a happy meal box, and 50 from Shantia Dennis according to Allegheny County District Attorney's office spokesman Mike Manko WTAE reported.

The Allegheny County District Attorney Narcotics Enforcement Team received information from an insider about and arranged the transaction at the Penn Avenue restaurant according to Manko WTAE reported.

Dennis reportedly put $2 in the cash register and another $80 in her bra while completing the exchange according to police WTAE reported.

Dennis was charged with possession, delivery, and possession with intent to deliver according to the complaint WTAE reported.

In another case, Theodore Levon Upshaw was charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to deliver, and delivery of heroin for his role in selling the drug a McDonalds, his workplace and the location's parking lot on route 22 in Pittsburgh Jan. 15 WTAE reported.
