Creator Julie Plec shared her excitement with "The Originals" fans in Comic Con 2014 the major developments in the upcoming "The Originals" Season 2.
According to Tvline, Plec officially names the first episode "Rebirth". Translating to the reawakening of the characters - literal or figuratively. It will open on a "flashback" where there will be roughly a 4-5 month time jump.
In this episode, the character Hayley played by actress Phoebe Tonkin will tackle problems focusing on her child Hope. Her struggles with giving Hope up will come into focus.
Joseph Morgan's character known as Klaus, one of the original Mikaelson siblings and an original vampire, will face his inner demons as his power becomes weaker when the wolves us magic.
Much like "The Vampire Diaries", "The Originals" Season 2 spoilers begin from the cliffhangers of the previous episode. Though there is a lot going on in the first episode, most of the struggles will be power-driven according to Plec.
Klaus' protégé, Marcel played by Charles Michael Davis, will show the audience the beginnings of his vampire kingdom. Making visible the challenges he experienced during his time.
It was also reported the actor Nathaniel Buzolic who plays Kol Mikaelson, son of Esther and Michael, will appear in the flashback. Guesting in "The Vampire Diaries", Buzolic's character could be back in "The Originals" plotlines as teased by the creator Julie Plec.
New character Aiden (werewolf) has been casted and will be played by actor Colin Woodell. While casting is still ongoing for the character Ingrid who is reportedly going to be the mother of the second baby in the series, speculations of her prominent story line remain.
"The Originals" season 2 will be released on October 6, 2014 on The CW.
