An NBC News online producer has been charged today by the police for allegedly filming his intimate moments with his girlfriend without the latter's consent. The suspect also allegedly posted the clips on a porn site.
The New York Post reported that Carlo Dellaverson, 30, has been busted "on charges of disseminating unlawful surveillance and harassment."
"On Feb. 14, he allegedly hid the camera in the Barrow Street apartment he shared with his 29-year-old gal pal in Greenwich Village, the sources said.
He then slipped into bed with the unsuspecting woman and kept the camera rolling, the sources said."
As if voyeuring is not enough, Dellaverson went on to post the clip on Netherlands-based porn site XTube which claims that it has 9 million subscribers.
His unnamed girlfriend found out the video on his computer late last week and immediately broke off with him. She later on found out that it has been spread in the internet and confronted the NBC News Online Producer through email. Dellaverson then reportedly admitted that he indeed posted it on a porn site.
"We unexpectedly canceled his triple-X miniseries that he shot, and it's not going to get renewed for next season," a law-enforcement source cracked as per report by the New York Post.
The lawyer's suspect said that Dellaverson maintains his innocence and the case is 'factually inaccurate.' NBC on the other hand said that they are "taking the matter very seriously, and will determine the appropriate course of action once we have learned the facts."
Carlo Dellaverson, son of top Metropolitan Transportation Authority (New York) official Gary Dellaverson, worked as a news editor for Rock Center with Brian Williams but there's no report yet if the he still keeps the job. He graduated from the University of Richmond and in 2012, he was featured in a house-hunting profile piece with The New York Times in which he described his experience about living with family to his own pad.
