Free frozen yogurt will be given away at all Menchie's Lousiana branches on Sunday, Sept. 21 to honor Lousiana's one millionth frozen yogurt sale.
Menchie's reported to have been sold its one-millionth frozen yogurt to a local Candace Tennison at the Denham Springs branch, Louisiana.
Tennison was given free frozen yogurt for a whole year amounting to $400.
To commemorate the major milestone, Menchie's patrons would be able to get a free eight ounce cup of yogurt at all Lousiana branches on Sept. 21 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
This feat has proved that the yogurt shop has been well-received by Lousiana locals and the community.
Six locations operate in Lousiana, all of which owned by Travis Hood, one of the franchisees of the yogurt shop.
In a statement from Franchising.com regarding the event, the businessman said "I wanted to recognize not only the Menchie's support team, but also our guests as we celebrate this amazing achievement. Without the encouragement and love form our local communitites, Menchie's would not be as successful as we are today."
"I hope guests around Louisiana will enjoy the free frozen yogurt as a 'thank you' for supporting our stores," he added.
"Travis truly encompasses the Menchie's mission in his work, and it's clear from his locations' accomplishments that he is committed to providing his guests with an extraordinary customer experience,"
Meanwhile, fans of the popular yogurt shop will be able to avail of the free frozen yogurt at Menchie's Lousiana branches located at Central Square, Denham Springs, Hammond Square, Harrison at Canal, Mall of Lousiana and North Park.
Aside from Lousiana, Menchie's currently has 400 locations worldwide, and is expecting to open 500 stores this year.
The frozen yogurt brand is reported to originate from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones, and is endorsed by the National Yogurt Assocation, receiving its "Live and Active Culture" Seal for putting live and active cultures in its frozen yogurt.
