Another Hollywood actor's light is dimmed forever as celebrities mourn Richard Kiel dead at 74.

The 7-feet 1.5-inches gentle giant began his career in show business early in the 1960s. With his enormous built, Richard Kiel was cast films now considered classics. Among these films include the "James Bond" franchise, specifically "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker."

Richard Kiel played the giant bodyguard of the main antagonist, Hugo Drax. Kiel caught audiences' attention as he stood more than a feet above Roger Moore, who played the title role in both "James Bond" sequels. With his full metal teeth, Jaws played by Richard Kiel was known as one of the most significant villains albeit in a relatively minor level.

As casting began for the "The Incredible Hulk," creators had to choose between Richard Kiel and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The pilot episode began with Richard Kiel as Hulk. However, producers decided to dismiss Kiel as he didn't quite possess the body built to become the Hulk. Kiel wasn't keen on accepting the role either as his eyesight couldn't manage the contact lenses he had to use, and wasn't a fan of the green body make-up. The role finally went to Lou Ferrigno.

Richard Kiel passed away at Saint Agnes medical center in California last Wednesday. According to BBC, although the star suffered from a leg injury a week ago, it is still unknown if his death is connected to the recent injury.

The James Bond to Richard Kiel's Jaws, sir Roger Moore is reportedly "distraught" with the news of Richard Kiel dead. He Tweeted, "I am totally distraught to learn of my dear friend Richard Kiel's passing. We were on a radio programme together just a week ago. Distraught."

Before news of Richard Kiel dead at 74, the actor made it into the 21st century movies and was part of the cast of "Happy Gilmore" (1996) and "Tangled" (2010).
