'Assassin's Creed 5: Unity' new version on PS4 and Xbox One Live is set to launch on November. Watch out for Elise!

'Assassin's Creed 5: Unity' is set during the revolutionary Paris, France. But don't expect any French accent in the English title.

Creative Director Alex Amancio explained the Animus in an interview with Ubiblog.

"The idea is that the Animus is translating everything into the language you're playing in," Amancio explains. "That's why, since you're an Anglophone, you're hearing all the dialogue and cinematics in English."

He added, "It would really make no sense for there to be a French accent because that would mean that this French character is trying to address you in accented English. Everyone in the game is not trying to speak English for your benefit."

The new version of the game is set in the revolutionary era and still focused on the conflict of Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order.

Alex Amancio talks about Elise's importance throughout the title. "She's not a damsel-in-distress character; Elise is a strong, skilled fighter and who's known Arno most of her life after her father takes him in."

Elise's character evolves in the game as a part of the Templar Order who fell in love with Arno, who she doesn't know a part of the Brotherhood. They've been separated for a while but fate had brought them back together. But her father's murder would be a mystery until it'll be played when it's released.

"We felt that with this generation it was a good opportunity to crank it up a notch and have a story that's a bit more serious and more mature. Love stories are always a hard thing in video games because ultimately they can very easily become a tangent. By making Elise a Templar and making that part of the core, it's part of the actual struggle of the character. It prevents it from becoming a B-plot or a tangent." Amancio added.
