Robert Downey Junior a.k.a Tony Stark is reportedly signed on to play the role of Leonardo Da Vinci in the video game adaptation Assasin's Creed

It was originally reported by MoviePilot that the Iron Man star will play the lead role and now circulating over the internet. However, that statement had been removed by MoviePilot and might be inaccurate..
But NME reported that Michael Fassbender is still part of the Assassin's Creed movie. "Nothing has changed, yeah. I'm still a part of Assassin's Creed, and we're working on the script as we speak. Actually, I'm going to go back and see the writers when I get back to Europe," he said.
The X-Men: Days of Future Past star character will be a bartender who is "captured by a large corporation and is forced into a machine, named 'The Animus,' allowing him to relive the memories of his ancestors ... to retrieve powerful and dangerous artifacts."
It was also reported that Justin Kurzel will direct the franchise movie. When Fassbender is asked about what he felt the director might bring to the proect. He said. ""I just think that there's one thing Justin should be doing, and that's directing. I know that from working with him on Macbeth. He's just fantastic in terms of his vision. Adam, the DP that he works with, is amazing. They've got a great shorthand -- that's essential. He's fantastic with actors and each department. He's a real heavyweight."
Assassin's Creed Movie is also rumored to slate on May or August 2015. Though details aren't clear yet if Robert Downey Jr. would be part of the movie. Well, let's not lose hope. There is still a chance that Iron Man might star up in a franchise.
