Now, customers can order using their mobile devices

Panda Express tried mobile ordering lately in all of their 1,500 units. This is joined by the growing number of restaurant stores that are using online and mobile ordering services.

Panda Restaurant Group Inc., has over 1,700 branches all over the world, it has been working on mobile app and order online option for quite some time now. The pilot testing started last December.

Compared to other brands, Panda Express' device app has features that allow customers order using several handphones. Take this for example, dad on his way home, can send to his kids a link that will ask them to choose from the menu, which directly links to the store's POS once they order. Even at work for colleagues can work for group order. It makes ordering so accessible to mobile users.

The smartphone app is accessible to iOS and Android users. Even big catering order is possible through this software.

In their latest TV commercial, the brand emphasizes that the mobile and online ordering is part in their advanced-day dinner experience.

One of the top officials mentioned that the order-in-advance option for group is an important factor that relates to other Chinese brand, which has been observing sharing take-away meals all in one table.

"It's so apparent in the dining table of Chinese, which we have learned as a shared moment." It's all about sharing food to make a faster option for our customers to get together as a group-family or friends-in a table while eating," as Dave Wallinga said, the vice president of marketing of the brand.

Using mobile devices and ordering online have been the latest practices of all restaurant nowadays. Other brands are constantly adapting to the advancement of technology now, regardless of what industry they are in. Thus, it is important too that Panda Express engages in this adaptation.
