With OS X Yosemite in public beta 2 release, Apple iTunes 12 beta release date follows suit, further proving the compatibility of the new OS X Yosemite to classic Mac applications.

OS X Yosemite release date for public beta 2 was on September 10, together with the iTunes 12 beta release date. This was in order to harmonize the updates, and make it easy for testers to install and use the application. However, reviews available in forums of Macrumors.com show that some testers weren't happy. Some comments included having iTunes 12 crash on the latest Yosemite during manual upgrade.

Inspired by the iOS 7, the creation of OS X Yosemite was announced early in June 2012 during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Yosemite follows its predecessor's landmark-based scheme, as OS X Mavericks. OS X Yosemite is more integrated than any other Mac operating systems available, according to creators.

Upon iTunes 12 beta release date, Apple describes the version as "an elegant new design, the ability to share purchases with your family, and improvements that make organizing your library fun and easy."

Specific developments on the iTunes 12 beta release date according to the official Apple updater Launchpad includes, "Streamlined design [for] a beautiful new look and simplified design that makes browsing your library easier and more enjoyable. Family sharing [where you can] share your purchases from iTunes, iBooks, and the App Store with up to six people in your family - without sharing accounts. Improved playlists [to] see your full library and playlists side by side, making it even easier to add your favorite songs to your playlists."

The updates after the iTunes 12 beta release date is highly noticeable. Viewing the entire iTunes library, there's a "..." part in the menu that allows you to view 'iTunes U', Podcasts and others. This is highly customizable as users are able to choose the icons to appear for easy access.

The previous content of the navigational bar in the middle of the iTunes window has now been changed to include "My Music", "Playlist", "Match", "Radio" and "iTunes Store", according to MacWorld.co.uk, in their review.
