James Gordon in the "Gotham" TV series will be played by actor Ben McKenzie. He is known for his role as Ryan Atwood in the television series "The O.C." He has also appeared in numerous movies such as "Junebug" in 2005 and "88 Minutes" in 2007.
Numerous "Gotham" TV series spoilers appear online, describing the possible first episode. Based on the DC comics and coming from the assumption that "Gotham" TV series is based on pre-Batman Gotham, the first episode will likely revolve around solving the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne.

McKenzie also posted a photo of a head injury he acquired during filming of "Gotham" TV series on his Instagram account, with a caption saying "Holy concrete wall, Batman! #gotham."
