New Nicki Minaj news suggests that the rapper was declined to visit her alma mater, which she said had "changed her life", after the rapper was offered to speak to its students.
According to CBS New York, the "Anaconda" singer claimed she was offered to have a talk to the students of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in Manhattan, New York, but her visit was declined by the school's principal.
The rapper took to Twitter her disappointment: "That school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now."
She added: ""I wanted to go back to my HS and speak to students but the new principal declined," she posted online. "No need to inspire them, I guess."
When a Twitter follower asked the rapper on the reason why she was declined, she has this for an answer: "I guess I'm not good enough."
Daily News reported that Minaj only presented part of the whole story. Sources told the media outlet that the visit was part of an MTV production with a film crew, making it an unviable proposition on short notice.
On the report of E! News, New York's LaGuardia School has sent clarifications to parents about their decision to decline Minaj's visit to the school.
"The fact is that Ms. Minaj was told by the NYC Department of Education (DOE) that she would not be allowed to enter the school with a television crew. The DOE has policies in place to protect the privacy and security of all its students. I'm sure we all appreciate the strict enforcement of these policies with regard to the safety of our children," the letter to the parents stated.
