Two-time champion Julianne Hough "Dancing with the Stars" (DWST) returns to the primetime show, this time sans dancing shoes.

First airing in 2005, "Dancing with the Stars" is a reality dancing competition show in ABC, that is said to be the American version of the British dancing competition known as "Strictly Come Dancing".

"DWTS" game runs fairly simply: a celebrity is paired with a professional dancer and both battle it out on the dance floor with other teams. Judges will rank each team, and the couple with the lowest combined scores from the judges plus audience votes are eliminated on a weekly basis. The last standing pair wins the competition.

Since 2005, there have been 19 Seasons, including the current 2014 that has just premiered. Celebrities who appeared in "DWTS" include Joey McIntyre, Vivica A. Fox, Jerry Springer, Mario Lopez, Joey Lawrence, Billy Ray Cyrus, Floyd Mayweather, Jane Semour, Lil' Kim, Chaz Bono, and Drew Carey.

Julianne Hough won the 4th season of "DWTS" in 2007 with her Olympic Gold Medalist Apolo Ohno. She later went on season 5 and again won with Helio Castroneves, Indianapolis 500 champion. She tried for the third time during season 6 with comedian Adam Carolla but was quickly eliminated.

Julianne Hough "DWTS" won the "Outstanding Choreography" award at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards for her "Para Los Rumberos."

After her early stint with "DWTS", Julianne Hough took a sabbatical from dancing in pursuit of her music career. She also appeared in several films including "Burlesque" in 2010 and "Rock of Ages" in 2012.

During the premier of "DWTS", Julianne Hough arrived in a glittered floor-length frock, and this wasn't a dancing outfit after all. She returned to "DWTS" season 19 as a permanent fourth judge alongside Len Goodman, Carrie Anna Inaba and Bruno Toniolo.

In the season premier, Julianne's brother Derek Hough competes with his partner Bethany Mota, with Julianne sitting on the judge panel. In an interview with HollywoodLife.com, Julianne Hough "DWTS" explains, "It's not me judging my brother - it's me judging the collaboration and connection he has with his partner and the growth that I see her do."
