MH370 Flight News: Malaysian Foreign Minister Disappointed With The Huffington Post For Having ‘No Regards For Feelings’ Of People Affected By Tragedy

Sep 22, 2014 07:20 AM EDT | By Staff Reporter

Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman has slammed the Huffington Post for publishing a news that link the MH370 Flight pilot to the disappearance of the aircraft. In an article published on September 16 by Ewan Wilson, the American news site claimed that Captain Zaharie Shah was not in stable mental condition when he flew the Boeing 777-200ER. It said that Shah might be mentally ill and have committed suicide using the plane.

Aman was quick to refute Huffington's claim saying the newspaper has no regards for the feelings and sufferings of the people affected.

“Ewan Wilson’s theory regarding Captain Zaharie Shah’s mental condition has no basis, whatsoever, but only manages to create more anxiety and trauma for the families and friends of the deceased,” minister Aman said in a statement.

“No thought or consideration is given to the victims’ loved ones as they await news of the missing plane and the circumstances under which it came to grief.

“Even as closure is hard to come by, and investigations are ongoing, The Huffington Post deems it fit to publish the article, with no regard for the feelings and sufferings of those who have been touched by the incident,” he noted.

The disappearance of the MH370 flight remains a mystery to the world. It has been seven months since the Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 disappeared from the sky while traveling from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport on March 8. However, up to this day, people related to the 239 missing passengers continue to be clueless about the whereabouts of the said airplane.

The search for the MH370 flight will resume on September 30 with Malaysian's GO Phoenix ship set to explore a remote patch of the Indian Ocean. Authorities believe that this is the spot where the plane ran out of fuel. The ship will start their search along the southerly stretch of the ocean.
