A Robin Williams memorial service was conducted in honor of the talented and beloved actor.
The Robin Williams memorial service at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco called "Celebration of Life" was made six weeks after the actor took his life.
The private tribute, which was made to honor "[Williams'] love for his family and community, his brilliance and humor and his generous spirit, was reportedly opened by his friend and colleague Billy Crystal.
Williams, who died at age 63, was celebrated through emotional speeches and music and video tributes by Bonnie Hunt, Eric Idle, Whoopi Goldberg, Bobcat Goldwaith, Admiral Mike Mullen, his widow Susan and his children Cody, Zelda and Zak.
According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, the musical part of the tribute was led by Stevie Wonder, who sang with the GLIDE Ensemble and Change Band.
Other attendees include George Lucas, Bette Middler, Pam Dawber, Jeff Bridges, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Penny Marshall, Ben Stiller and Williams's former wife Marsha Garces, according to People magazine.
A source present during the occasion reportedly shared some stories about the tribute. "The ceremony was such a beautiful tribute and ceelebration of Robin's life," said the source. "There was so much joy as well as tears. He touched so many, many people's lives and brought so much happiness and light."
The family friend who shared portions of the tribute also recounted one of the celebration's touching bits. "One of the most moving parts was when Susan recounted the day they met at the Apple store," the source continued. "They smiled at each other from across the room, which turned into a conversation and them becoming best friends from that moment on."
Attendees of Robin Williams' memorial service reportedly gathered at a reception at Westin St. Francis Hotel Ballroom when the tribute came to a close and received ribbon wristbands that said: "Love the stillness of life."
