The Jersey Shore has its own TV show, but it is a caricature of the actual place. They are reminiscent of the characters on the show, but mostly this isn't the case. What's true is that the place is beautiful. There are plenty of places to go along the Jersey Shore. Whether you are looking for casinos, beaches, or seafood, the shore has it all. You might not think of visiting, moving to, or starting a business in New Jersey, but why not? It is a lot more affordable than New York City and other places in the tri-state area. Below are some of the best destinations on the Jersey Shore.

Atlantic City

Atlantic City has gone through all the ups and downs a city can go through. It has had booms and busts. Nowadays, Atlantic City is on the way back up, but it still has its problems. One huge benefit of this is that the hotels in Atlantic City are relatively affordable. You can enjoy the beach and casinos. You can walk on the boardwalk. With so many options for places to stay and places to go, you can really enjoy yourself in Atlantic City. It's one of the most famous spots on the Jersey Shore, but it is far from the only option.

Asbury Park

Famous for being the home of Bruce Springsteen, Asbury Park is a great place to visit, live in, or start a business. New Jersey has had its fair share of problems, but Asbury Park is one of the places that has real potential. With a beachfront boardwalk, you can enjoy the water, the atmosphere, the seafood, and more. Asbury Park is often overshadowed by Atlantic City, but it isn't known for gambling as much as its larger counterpart. There is a water park, plenty of beaches, and places to eat and drink near the water.

Seaside Heights

Seaside Heights is another overlooked part of the Jersey Shore. There are casinos here as well. There are beaches, a water park, and a concert venue. There is a roller coaster on the pier. Whatever you are looking for, Seaside Heights is a great place to visit. It is also one of the best places to start a business or find a home. For the kids, there are arcades. Whatever your style, Seaside Heights is a nice place to take a break, get away, or find a new place to live.

Cape May

Cape May is home to Victorian houses and idyllic surroundings. You should check out the Lobster House for some amazing seafood and views of the ocean. You can visit the Harriet Tubman Museum. Look at some amazing homes and other architecture. There is also a famous lighthouse that provides those tri-state area beach vibes you may be looking for. With multiple wineries and vineyards, Cape May is a great place to visit for a glass of wine, some great seafood, and awesome views. Cape May shouldn't be passed up.

Ocean City

Another city along the beach with an amusement park on the pier, Ocean City is also a great place to visit with tons of things to do. Go hiking in Corson's Inlet State Park. It's beautiful. Gillian's Wonderland Pier is, of course, on the pier, but there is also Playland's Castaway Cove, a pirate-themed amusement park. With a mini-golf park and a water park, Ocean City is one of the best places to bring children on a vacation. Do you have a family? Bring them to Ocean City!

The Jersey Shore is so much more than the TV show. It isn't all drinking and drama. You can find peace and seclusion or the atmosphere of piers and boardwalks. There are plenty of destinations along the shore. Between Atlantic City, Asbury Park, Seaside Heights, Cape May, Ocean City, and more, there is no shortage of awesome things to do and see in the area.

When you are looking for a unique place to visit, an affordable but beautiful place to live, or the right spot to open your business, the Jersey Shore has so many great places to take advantage of. Don't just settle for the famous destinations of New York or even Atlantic City, you can find your own quaint spot.
