McMillion explained, "Imagine you're preparing to host a Super Bowl party next month. In the past, you might have conducted multiple searches for chips, wings, drinks, and even a new 90-inch television."

Walmart has recently developed a generative AI-powered search function, which will be available on iOS, Android, and the company's website. This cutting-edge feature has been meticulously designed to comprehend the context of each customer's inquiry, resulting in tailor-made responses.

Soon, customers can look forward to a more engaging and conversational shopping experience, receiving precise answers to their questions and personalized product recommendations.

Walmart and other top stores are picking Azure OpenAI Service because it offers the world's most sophisticated AI technology, supported by Microsoft Azure's strong features like security and compliance. This move transforms retail with generative AI, making online shopping smoother and more user-friendly. It's changing how we shop online, from endless scrolling to focused, goal-driven searches.

Walmart and Microsoft are working together with a shared goal: using AI to make work more productive and satisfying and to tackle big challenges. This summer, Walmart introduced a new "My Assistant" tool for its 50,000 non-store employees.

This app, Developed by Walmart, uses its own data and technology along with Azure OpenAI Service. It's already making a difference, helping staff with tasks like summarizing long documents and creating new content.

Walmart Expands Tech with Drone Delivery

Walmart is not just focusing on AI; it's also bringing new tech to its customers. This year, the company plans to broaden its drone delivery services following successful test runs in Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas.

Walmart is joining forces with Wing and Zipline, two leading drone delivery companies, to offer drone delivery to an impressive 75% of the Dallas-Fort Worth population. This expansion means residents in 30 towns and cities can now use Walmart's drone delivery service.

This innovative delivery method is set to speed up the shopping process for many customers in Dallas-Fort Worth. Zipline, one of Walmart's partners in drone delivery, has been successful since 2016. Their drones have flown 60 million miles and delivered millions of items, averaging a delivery every 70 seconds across four continents.

Walmart's commitment to serving its customers is highlighted by its collaboration with DroneUp. This partnership aims to quickly expand services while maintaining top safety and quality, even as shopping habits change.
