This weekend, Hobby Lobby, a popular arts and crafts store, will close for one day. Shoppers must wait to buy their supplies as the store takes a break for a holiday.

Hobby Lobby Closes Doors This Easter Sunday

Hobby Lobby, a well-known retailer, will close its doors on March 31 to observe Easter Sunday, reports the Parade website.

Customers eager to refresh their homes with spring decorations should plan their shopping trips ahead of time to avoid a last-minute rush.

However, the store will operate normally before Easter, Easter Saturday, and the day after Easter Monday. This means shoppers must go without Hobby Lobby's wide range of 70,000 items for home and seasonal decor, but only for a single day.

Hobby Lobby is known for closing on significant holidays, including Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Meanwhile, Hobby Lobby is not the only store taking a break for Easter Sunday. Michaels, another major craft store, will also shut all its 1,100 locations for the holiday.

A spokesperson for Michaels confirmed to The U.S. Sun that the stores would be closed throughout Easter Sunday, aligning with the holiday's observance.

Moreover, several major retailers have announced they will close their doors on Easter Sunday to allow employees to spend time with their families.

Publix, a well-known supermarket chain, confirmed it would not operate on Easter Sunday, joining the list of companies observing the holiday. Similarly, Aldi has decided to close all its stores in the United States for the day, emphasizing the importance of family time for its employees.

This decision echoes actions taken by other large retailers such as Costco and Sam's Club, which have also announced closures to give their customers and staff a break on the holiday.

In addition, H-E-B, a Texas-based grocery retailer recently named the top U.S. grocery retailer, surpassing giants like Amazon and Trader Joe's, has declared it will close all its stores for Easter.

This gesture underscores the company's commitment to its employees and their families during significant holidays.
