Fans of McDonald's are excited about the return of a favorite breakfast choice. Although it can be ordered in three styles, it's unavailable in every area.

McDonald's is serving its bagel breakfast sandwiches again. These popular morning meals were removed from the menu in 2020 when the restaurant stopped offering breakfast all day.

Four years later, customers can enjoy starting their day with a bagel sandwich once more.

McDonald's Bagel Breakfast Sandwiches Make a Comeback

Keen fast food fans have spotted signs that McDonald's is slowly bringing back a much-loved menu item nationwide. The sought-after bagel sandwiches first reappeared in Southern California in January, followed by select locations in Tennessee last October.

McDonald's is now offering its classic bacon, egg, cheese, sausage, egg, and cheese bagel sandwiches, as well as a new option.

The new Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel stands out from the usual breakfast offerings. Unlike the others that feature just meat, eggs, and cheese, this one is served on a butter-toasted bagel filled with a tender steak patty, a fluffy folded egg, melted American cheese, and tasty grilled onions, as described by the chain.

Some McDonald's locations in the U.S., including Louisiana, have reintroduced bagel sandwiches to their menu. These breakfast favorites have recently become available in select spots in New Orleans and on the North Shore.

A Maskers Family McDonald's spokesperson announced that their Slidell locations will start offering the sandwich from Monday. These locations include 100 Brownswitch Road, 2190 Gause Blvd. W., 64121 Hwy. 1090, 3096 Gause Blvd. E., 3301 Pontchartrain Dr., 1625 Gause Blvd., and 370 Voters Road in Slidell.

Similarly, Christopher Bardell's 13 greater New Orleans McDonald's began serving the bagel sandwiches on Friday.

The addresses for these locations are 301 Veterans Memorial Blvd., 3532 Severn Ave., 3313 Veterans Memorial Blvd., 5315 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie, 3013 Loyola Ave. in Kenner, 1151 S. Clearview Pkwy. in Harahan, 3443 S. Carrollton Pkwy., 3321 St. Charles Ave., 2609 St. Claude Ave., 3025 Elysian Fields Ave., 1918 North Broad St., 2757 Canal St., and 4240 Louisa St.

Customers are thrilled with McDonald's breakfast bagels' comeback. Fans are sharing their excitement on social media.

One person commented on Reddit about their steak, egg, and cheese bagel, saying it was "just as good as I remember" after trying it for the first time in a long while.

Another customer was pleasantly surprised by the taste, noting it was "much better tasting than I expected." Meanwhile, a third fan declared the steak, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich "maybe the best thing on the menu."

However, it's worth noting that the prices for these beloved bagels will differ depending on the location.

The Facebook group "Where's My McDonald's Bagel" is excited as members from across the U.S. share news of the breakfast bagel's return. Customers have reported that the cherished bagel sandwiches are back in local McDonald's in various parts of Texas.

However, some mention they have to specifically ask for them since they're not listed on the menu.

Likewise, other customers have noted that these bagel sandwiches can only be purchased in the restaurant and aren't available through the McDonald's app. Confirming the comeback, one diner received confirmation from their local McDonald's that the bagel sandwiches would be officially available starting April 1.
