Amanda Bynes was arrested last Sunday on the suspicion of DUI (Driving under Influence) and is currently not in contact with her parents.
Last year, Amanda was living with her parents Rick and Lynn in Thousand Oaks, California. Amanda ended up in an involuntary hospitalization through December. Amanda's mom, Lynn, was her conservator under a court order until the legal agreement ended in June. But since that agreement ended, Amanda's dad admitted that he hasn't seen his daughter. Amanda had moved out to Orange County after June.
According to Amada's dad, "We know nothing about [her arrest]. We were called by the press."
He revealed in the website X17Online that "I'm getting calls all day long. That's all I know."
Former actress Amanda Bynes is facing legal fallout from her latest arrest. Bynes was charged with a misdemeanor when California Highway Patrol officers found that she was "under the influence of an unknown drug". They determined this after they had pulled Bynes over for stopping the car (Mercedes Benz) she was driving in the middle of an intersection for a traffic light. Bynes was unable to pass the field sobriety test.
This is the latest on the series of bad news for Bynes.
The former actress has also reportedly failed the courses that she attended at the fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. A source told the website RadarOnline that "Amanda just stopped going to classes. Everything had been going very well for her up until the conservatorship ended. Her instructors tried to reach out to Amanda, given her history of very public breakdowns, but got no response. As a result, Amanda flunked out."
Amanda's mom blamed marijuana for her daughter's behavior. The former actress is due in court on October 23.
Amanda Laura Bynes, 28, is an American actress who rose to fame in the Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show. She appeared in several films and a sitcom from 2002 to 2010. Two years ago, Bynes revealed that she is retiring from acting.
