Dwayne Johnson will star in the new "Baywatch" movie directed by Sean Anders and John Morriss after Paramount Pictures moves forward with the movie production.

The big-screen adaptation of the hit TV series will be written by Justin Malen alongside comedy directors Anders and Morriss from the movie "We're The Millers."

Montecito Pictures and movie producer Beau Flynn will produce the new movie, with Tripp Vinson to executive produce.

Johnson's producing partner will also lend a hand in producing "Baywatch" Movie.

"The Rock" has long been rumored to lead star a Baywatch Movie.

The buff actor, not stranger to topless scenes, is perfect for the raunchy role.

Johnson recently wrapped up filming the seventh installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise and starred in epic move "Hercules" in July this year.

Paramount has been trying to create a "Baywatch" movie adaptation for a long time now and has begun to push forward with the developments.

Jeremy Garelick and Peter Tolan are some of the writers who have taken a crack at the movie script.

At one point the action was set to revolve around a series of shark attacks that led the Baywatch team to investigate a drug-smuggling operation.

Malen's take on the latest version of the movie is still unknown to the public.

He has become an in-demand writer after his 2011 Blacklist script Bastards became a hot comedy property.

Montecito Pictures will produce the film while Alcon will finance.

Sony's "Bad Teacher" movie, featuring Cameron Diaz, was also written by Malen.
