Lionsgate has annouced that the reboot of the phenomenal kiddie cartoon, Power Rangers, will hit theaters on July 22, 2016.

The hit cartoon series brought by Fox TV has been around for the past 20 years which revolves around a group of high school students with unique superpowers but must harness and use those powers as a team to save the world from villains.

Now that the release date is revealed, fans are now buzzing over who will play who’s part. E! News online gives a list of the probable cast members for the new MMPR movie reboot.

Reporters from E! news is eyeing Michael B. Jordan as the probable head of the pack with his impressive acting skills. Though there are some reports from other websites stating that it might be ‘The Hunger Games’ actor Liam Hemsworth or ‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner to bag the role of the Red Ranger.

Dylan O’Brien, who stars in the MTV series ‘Teen Wolf’, may fit the role of Blue Ranger who is always stuck in sticky situations. Elle Fanning most probably will fit Pink Ranger’s delicate look and tough butt-kicking moves, but there has been other reports saying that Chloe Grace Moretz who starred in ‘Carrie’ will portray it. Ansel Elgort from ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ might be the perfect fit for White Ranger with his good looks and killer smile. The brains of the pack, Yellow Ranger might be portrayed by Hailee Steinfield, and last but not the least Diego Boneto who E! news wants to see as the second in command as Black Ranger.

Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are penning the script with Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, Allison Shearmur and Robert Oci is the producer. Fashionnstyle reports that, back in May, Lionsgate announced that they are going to make a live action feature film based on Saban Brand's TV series "Might Morphin Power Rangers."
