Hacked Celebrities Threatens Google with $100 M Lawsuit Over Spread of Nude Photos Leak

Google has replied that it has started and still continues to delete hacked celebrities' nude and explicit pictures from their search engines and websites.

The number of hacked celebrities' photos that were deleted by Google has now reached tens of thousands. The Search Engine Company has added that along with deleted nude photos, it has also close down several hundreds of accounts.

A Google spokesperson issued a statement saying that while the internet has plenty of good uses, distributing of hacked celebrities' nude photos is not one of them.

This week, lawyer Marty Singer who claims he is acting on behalf of several movie personalities, threatened to file a $100 million lawsuit against Google for failure to stop the spread of the hacked celebrities nude pictures. The nude images are reportedly being searched and spread through Google's search engines, and Google hosted and owned sites such as blogs and YouTube.

Singer did not give the names of the personalities but said that his firm represents not only actresses but also models and athletes.

When the first hacked celebrities' nude photos were leaked in the internet, most of the images were discovered to be taken from iCloud. Apple denied that there was any cracks in their security, but said that they are cooperating with the federal and state authorities regarding the leaked nude pictures.

Singer did not mention any possible lawsuit against Apple, the owner of the iCloud service. The litigation lawyer however, singled out Google, for what he calls, the company's "blatantly, unethical behavior". He accused Google of complicity in the illegal distribution and privacy violation of the personalities who were victimized by the ongoing iCloud leak.

The hacked celebrities' explicit pictures have highlighted the power of search engines and videos like Google and YouTube. Singer adds that other hosting companies and social networks like Twitter has complied with his law firms demand to take down the nude and explicit pictures of the personalities he represent.
