Apple has just recently released 2 of their products, the highly anticipated iPhone 6 and its bigger version iPhone 6 Plus, and people in all parts of the globe are lining up just to get hold of these new babies of Apple.

Noticeably, this is the tech giant's first time to come up with a large iPhone model, compared to its predecessors. Hence, it is now being compared with all the other phablets (a coined word from "phone" and "tablet") in the market today. Nowadays, some people choose to get a more budget-friendly but equally functional smartphone. This growing trend makes Xiaomi's flagship phone Mi4 comes into the picture. Below is the comparison between the two new power phablets.

Apple's iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5-inch LED-lit IPS LCD display. It boasts of full HD resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. Based on reports prior to launch, it comes with the new A8 processor having a speed of 1.4 GHz. It also has the latest iOS 8 software, and a dual-core Apple chipset with 2GB RAM, along with a PowerVR GX6650 GPU. It sports an 8 MP rear camera with Apple's signature iSight technology, as well as a full high-definition video recording capacity. Its 1.2 MP front camera can record up to 720p videos. iPhone 6 Plus is being sold for $299 for its 16GB variant, $399 for its 64GB variant, and $499 for its 128GB variant, when bought under contract.

On the other hand, Xiaomi's Mi4 comes in a 5-inch IPS LCD screen. Like its famous counterpart, it has full HD resolution but with a higher pixel density of 442 ppi. It features a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a Krait 400 Quadcore processor, that has a speed of 2.5 GHz. Mi4 has 3GB RAM, bigger than its competitor, as well as an Adreno 330 graphics. It is powered using the latest Android 4.4.3 Kitkat operating system. It sports an impressive 13 MP rear camera having a dual LED flash, and an 8PM front camera. The flagship phone of Xiaomi is being sold at $439 for their 16Gb variant, and $449 for their 32GB variant.

Having all their specifications compared and contrasted, the Chinese brand seems to be a much better choice if one is on the "more affordable" side. However, a lot of avid phablet and smartphone users are still wanting to own Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, regardless of the price difference.
