Actress Reese Witherspoon reminisces her Cruel Intention days with former husband Ryan Phillippe and their two kids.

While Witherspoon and Phillippe were promoting separate films in New York City this month, the former couple took a walk with their daughter Ava, 15, and son Deacon, 10.

According to Phillippe on an interview with HuffPo Live, "We got to meet up as a family and took a walk through Central Park with the kids and it was funny - we were reminiscing then because we shot a lot of Cruel Intentions [there], so there we were, with Ava and Deacon talking, and they were tripping out on the fact that we were there shooting a movie before they were even a thought in our minds."

The history of the former couple has peaked on the 1999 film Cruel Intentions. The drama film was a remake of Dangerous Liaisons (Les Liaisons Dangereuses) and tells the story of Phillippe trying to seduce Witherspoon in an attempt to win a bet with his sister, played by Gellar.

The film was about wealthy teenagers attending high school in New York and stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Selma Blair, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe.

The movie was a commercial success as it grossed $13,020,565 in its opening weekend. The film ranked second behind Analyze This. Worldwide, the film earned $75,902,208.

Ryan Phillippe, 40, is an American actor and director. He rose to fame when he played a string of films in the 2000s such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions and 54.

Phillippe married actress Reese Witherspoon from 1999 to 2007. They have 2 kids together as well as another daughter from a former relationship with actress Alexis Knapp.

Witherspoon and Phillippe married just weeks after the premiere of the film Cruel Intentions. Reese was 6 months pregnant at the time of their wedding.

In 2006, the couple announced their decision to separate citing irreconcilable differences.
