After Luhan’s absence in SM Town held in Tokyo, rumors have been circulating that it was because of health issues and reports of him terminating his contract with SME seemed to support this rumor.

According to many sources, Luhan has submitted his lawsuit at the Seoul Central Court this morning (10th KST). TV Daily also released a copy of the alleged application in which the name 'Lu Han' can be seen. Allkpop website reports that the same law firm that handled another member of EXO, Kris, is studying the case.

Soompi reports that a source stated that due to stress of training and anxiety, Luhan is suffering from various health issues, and that even following EXO’s debut, even having issues with the members’ freedom with individual activities saying their manager is constantly with them monitoring and restricting what they do.

Fans have expressed their sadness through social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Weibo. Zhang Yixing (Lay), another member of the group shared a few words of encouragement. "Everyone, you must be having a hard time. Please be healthy, make sure to eat, and gain strength! I feel that more than anyone else, our fans are going through the most. Be strong!"

Fans seem to be grateful for his kind words as they responded, "Love you. Stay strong, Lay," "I'm being strong because of you, oppa! Thank you," "Please don't get sick," and more.

Meanwhile, Luhan’s agency released an official statement regarding the issue:

“We are shocked because the lawsuit was suddenly filed while we were in the process of negotiating his future schedules and activities after he expressed his wishes to focus more on his individual activities in China more so than EXO group activities as well as matters concerning his health.

As it was with Kris's case, when a lawsuit is filed for no actual reason by using the same pattern and lawyers after a gaining a lot of popularity as a star through group activities, we see this as a suit that was filed because of one prioritizing one's self and ignoring the understanding of the contract with the agency as well as everyone involved in the contract and the activities with the group. We believe there is someone behind the scenes who is pulling the strings.

Regarding these kinds of situations, the agency plans to actively respond to them with our partners overseas including those in China as well as legal experts.

EXO's future activities will also proceed on as scheduled.”

Reports say that Luhan is currently resting in his home in Beijing, China.
