Potbelly Sandwich Shop announced Thursday that they will open their first Nebraska location in Omaha on the first week of November.

Dubbed as "The Best Place For Lunch," the shop will open its Omaha location at the popular hangout spot North Park Shopping Center at 2056 N. 117th Avenue. The restaurant will feature live, local music, along with its usual menu of made-to-order salads and hand-dipped milkshakes.

The franchise will be managed by two Nebraskan brothers Craig and Kendall Frantz. Both have an extensive knowledge on business management and operations. They also have wide community connections that can help them with the business.

"Our toasty warm sandwiches will be the talk of the town, now that Omaha's new best place for lunch is ready to open," said Craig.

The brothers said that they are thrilled to bring the franchise to Nebraska, as there are already fans who have tried Potbelly Sandwich during their travels outside the state. In the region, the franchise is already established in Minneapolis, Wisconsin, and Chicago, which includes the Midway Airport.

Craig also said in a statement that the place can be a good platform for local musicians to play their music. He said, "I've been a music lover my whole life and I'm especially looking forward to giving local musicians a place to perform for their friends and neighbors."

head of franchise development for Potbelly Sandwich Shop Mike Walters said, "Every new sandwich shop is designed to resemble the community it resides in, and Craig and Kendall have the deep rooted community values Potbelly looks for when choosing franchise partners."

Omaha's Potbelly Sandwich will be operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Every Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will be staffed by 29 employees, including managers and service staff.

Potbelly Shop first opened in Chicago in 1977 and since then expanded to 300 more stores across the country.
