Jennifer Lopez has left the American Idol building and so has Steven Tyler. Now the question remains, will Randy Jackson also leave and who will replace them?

According to E! News, American Idol producers have spoken to Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey and Adam Lambert about becoming judges. The three, "are at the top of their list." Katy Perry, Nicky Minaj and Fergie are some of the other names that have been floating around too.

Randy Jackson has been thinking for "a while now" that it may be time to say goodbye. "He's been there for 11 years," the source said. "That's a long time."

His fellow two judges have already left the show. First, it was Steven Tyler who announced he was leaving "American Idol" on Thursday. The Aerosmith lead singer he was off to continue with his music and other projects he has lined up. Tyler announced in a statement that Aerosmith would be releasing their 15th album, "Music from Another Dimension!," -- their first in eight years -- on Nov. 6 and, like Lopez, are currently on the road.

"After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I've decided it's time for me to let go of my mistress 'American Idol' before she boils my rabbit," Tyler said.

On the same day, Lopez appeared on the Today Show where she said she that "maybe it's time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do." She did not confirm her decision, but she was clearly leaning towards leaving the show. Today, she made the announcement that she would in fact be leaving Idol when she called in to "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" Friday morning.

"Just confirmed with @JLo she's made up her mind...will leave idol. :( gonna miss her," Seacrest tweeted

After a stable panel for its first eight seasons, producers have had more temporary celebrity judges on the show. Paula Abdul left in 2009 (and subsequently joined and left X Factor), while Ellen DeGeneres had a one-year stint and Kara DioGuardi lasted two years, before Tyler and Lopez came on board for the 2011 season.
