Sage Stallone, Sylvestor Stallone's eldest son was found dead last week Friday and the cause of death is still under investigation, although his mother believes it may have been from an overdose of pain killers after he underwent an extensive dental surgery.
In her first public comments on her son Sage's death, Sasha Czak said she had urged her son not to have so much dental work carried out in one day. According to the New York Post, Sasha said her son had five teeth extracted two weeks before he was found dead at his Hollywood home last Friday from a suspected drug overdose.
Officials will need another two months to determine what caused the death of Sylvester Stallone's eldest son Sage, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner told CNN Sunday. The Los Angeles coroner has confirmed pill bottles were recovered from the 36-year-old film-makers's Hollywood home.
"I told him not to do that. I've heard about people dying having multiple procedures done to you mouth. Do not have more than one tooth (pulled)," she said. When asked if her son would be taking pain medication for the pain, she replied: "Wouldn't you be?"
Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone who is said to be grief stricken by Sage's death released an emotional statement talking about his "agonizing" loss.
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Sage may have been dead for a minimum of three or four days, possibly as long as a week, before his body was discovered by his housekeeper on Friday.
Sage Stallone's lawyer, George Braunstein dismisses such claims, saying: "Sage was a really young, very sensitive, and very talented kid. There has been no indication that there was anything wrong in his life."
"He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy."
