PayPal, Inc. has just introduced the PayPal.Me, a service that lets users put their name on their PayPal and have a personal link to requesting money, according to a blog post in PayPal's website.

PayPal.Me is a free, simple and personal way for users to request money from across the globe.

PayPal said in the blog post that PayPal.Me makes it easier and faster for users to request for money from their friends and colleagues.

Users won't need to individually follow up or request for money, they just need to send an email or text with their PayPal.Me link and people can send them money through that link.

PayPal also mentioned in the blog post that users can name their PayPal.Me link to have a more personal link that they can send to groups of friends, family, colleagues and so on.

"It's an instant, safe, unique link that works on any device no matter where you're talking to people, in a text, email, instant messenger, social media post, blog, or on the web," PayPal said.

Fortune reported that PayPal has launched its peer to peer payments, where people can link their debit card accounts online and digitally transfer money to anyone, offering a year ago.

Previously, people can send money to a users' PayPal account by inputting the user's email address, but with PayPal.Me only a link is needed.

Fortune stated that though PayPal is aiming the PayPal.Me service to consumers and business, it is more useful to businesses.

A lot of businesses already use PayPal to request and collect money from their customers. The link will make it easier for them to do so.

PayPal said in the blog post that using the PayPal.Me is simple and easy. Users just need to send the link to a recipient and the recipient just needs to click the link, enter the amount and click send, and the money will be on its way.

Recipients will be able to open the link on any smartphone, tablet or computer that they are using.

PayPal said in the blog post that the PayPal.Me service is currently available to 18 countries only.

The U.S., Germany, UK, Australia, Canada, Russia, Turkey, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Austria are the countries that are able to use the PayPal.Me service.
